Governance

Laxgalts’ap is a Nisga’a community of 600 members, governed by seven elected leaders. Our leaders consist of six councillors and one Chief Councillor which govern the affairs of Laxgalts’ap. LVG is operated under the Nisga’a Nation laws.

Council sits on the third Thursday of each month & Council meetings are open to the community to attend.

The LVG Council depends on a team of administrators and program people to assist in implementing their vision, by drafting policies, creating programs and implementing LVG’s Strategic Plan.
