Education
The purpose of Education Administrator's position is to manage the
educational program of the Government. In addition, the position should
actively pursue ways of improving the educational opportunities
available to Nisga'a people.
Some of the duties of the position include:
- developing the educational budget for the year
- analyzing & interpreting relevant government policies
- identifying funding opportunities
- counseling with students in the development of educational plans
- liaison with school district, nursery/daycare, home school coordinator, and college support workers
- maintain clerical records on student files and records
- act as representative on WWN advisory board, First Nations Council and NWCC
